Appearance: white crystal, m.p.: 117～122℃. Can generate imidazole and carbon dioxide in water.
soluble in ethanol, toluene, ethyl acetate, slightly soluble in aldehyde, dutch liquid, tetrahydrofuran.
Use: As condensating agent for the synthesis of nucleoside triphosphate, peptide and other esters; as intermediate for the synthesis of acylimidazole etc.
